2020 is coming to an end, and with it the League of Legends season. This therefore announces the traditional Preseason, where Riot Games has the habit of rethinking one of the game's systems each year. This time, it is the store and its objects that are in the spotlight. On the program nearly a third of new objects, a new mechanism and a much more beautiful store. New Tiers for Objects
This is one of the major changes in the item system for this Pre-Season 2021. From now on, the items will be divided into different tiers, to make it easier to spot them. League of Legends now has Starters, Basic, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic items. Not to mention the Boots, which remain in a separate category. Here are the characteristics of each tier:
- Fullerenes Starters are items for your first purchase at the store, at the start of the game.
- Items Basics are the simplest components of the game (Long Sword, Tome of Amplification, BF Glaive…)
- With regard to Epic, these are the intermediate levels in the recipe towards a Legendary or Mythical item (Shininess, Bramble Armor, Giant's Belt, etc.)
- Items Legendary are finished objects, having reached the end of their recipe (Rabadon's Headdress, Infinity Blade, etc.)
- Finally, the objects mythical are the most powerful items in the game. They grant bonus stats to Legendary items you own.
In fact, not much has changed compared to the current system, except at the level of Mythical objects. You can only have one Mythic item on you.
In the news section, we will also note the disappearance of objects for the jungle. You will now have to buy one of the two starting items, which will evolve once Smite is cast 5 times. The item will then disappear from your inventory, leaving you with an additional item slot, but you will keep its effects permanently.
