This is not the first time that HoYoverse has reached this amount, confirming that the studio has entered the big leagues. Just like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail had 10 million pre-registrants before its launch. A significant score, and which has not yet finished climbing. Of course, part of these registrations is driven by the gifts offered. As HoYoverse is notorious for not being overly generous with its players, having the chance to get a few free summons when a new game launches is an opportunity not to be missed. But to reach 10 million pre-registrations, the universe of Honkai: Star Rail, and more generally of the Chinese studio, proves that it interests many players.
This new project should also undergo the same treatment as its predecessor. Regular content updates, frequent events, and new characters galore. The gacha aspect will most likely be decried once again, in particular for its cost, which is deemed too high. But if the universe around is sufficiently provided with activities, this dark negative aspect should quickly disappear.
