Honkai: Star Rail โ€“ Hyperspace jumps, all about summons

Like any good gacha, Honkai: Star Rail has a particularly well-designed summoning system. Several banners are put forward, some temporary others permanent. There are thus portals for characters, but also Cones of Light, which serve as weapons. Hyperspace Jumps, the name given to these invocations, however, have some particularities.

Accommodating Portals

Before you can jump into hyperspace to find a character, you must have the correct ticket. THE pass you Star Rail thus serves to summon from the beginner's banner and the permanent. On the other side, the special Star Rail pass can be used on temporary character banners and Cones of Light.

In addition to these tickets are Stellar Jades, a resource obtained by completing quests, objectives, events and through exploration. It is possible to exchange 160 for a pass, whether it is special or not. Note that a counter exists on each banner, ensuring the player a 4-star character or Cone of Light after the tenth draw if he has not had one. It is therefore not necessary to make all your summons in batches of 10.

Beginner's Summons

Available in limited quantities, these summons are intended for new players. They have an increased rate for obtaining characters, cost less, and are therefore to be prioritized at the beginning. On the limit of 50 summons, each player is guaranteed to obtain at least 1 5-star character from the present list. Summons are done in batches of 10 only, but only require 8 pass you Star Rail.

Permanent Hyperspace Jumps

The advantage of permanent summons is that they do not consume tickets for temporary events. They are not particularly good, but still offer the possibility of obtaining good characters or 5-star Cones of Light. The rate there is very rare, but a safety system is present to ensure a summon of maximum rarity every 90 Hyperspace jumps. A pity that only resets when a 5 star is obtained.

The same heroes as for the beginner's banner are available in addition to their Cones of Light

However, a second safety net exists in these invocations. After 300 draws on the banner, any 5-star item can be chosen and obtained by the player. In addition to limiting the frustration caused by the random side, it gives a lot of interest to these invocations. They are not only present to spend your first tickets, but allow you to target a particular character or Cone of Light.

Oriented Hyperspace Jumps, Targeted Summons

Each new update will be an opportunity to welcome new characters into the game, but also new Cones of Light. These will be temporarily available in dedicated banners, one for the character, the other for his weapon. It is for these invocations, and these only, that the special Star Rail pass can be used. Rotations will therefore be frequent, with several banners per update. Note that heroes and cones will not always be added to the permanent banner.

Regarding the pity system, there is no insurance after 300 draws. However, the character banner benefits from the same security as the permanent banner. After 90 draws, a 5-star character is guaranteed to be summoned. This security is found on the 80th draw for the Cones of Light. The insurance does not guarantee obtaining the weapon or the character put forward, it is therefore necessary to count 180 draws to have the hero of the event, and 160 for his weapon.

With all this information, it will be easier to find your way around among the different Hyperspace Jumps available in Honkai: Star Rail. It may therefore be more appropriate to keep your jades and passes for a particular character.
