NBA 2K21: the WNBA and players in MyPlayer

A leak from the WNBA site seems to indicate that it will be possible to play a girl in MyPlayer, the career mode of NBA 2K21. While it was a fairly recurring rumor before, a screen (since deleted) on the official website of the women's basketball league now seems to confirm this novelty. As a reminder, the basketball game will be available on Xbox Series X and PS5 at the end of the year as well as on PC and old-generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One from September.

The WNBA and girls in MyPlayer on NBA 2K21

We presented this rumor a few weeks ago regarding the new content specific to the next-gen version of the game. Thus, several sources mentioned the presence of female players in the MyPlayer mode as well as the possibility of playing in WNBA in different game modes.

However, the WNBA site revealed this novelty via an article (since deleted) and an image on the home page (source Reddit). This image evokes the MyPlayer mode in addition to a more extensive return of the women's league.

This news would be a small revolution since women's leagues are often set aside in sports games. In addition, we are already wondering about the integration of these game modes and options in NBA 2K21. Indeed, following the latest information, the game community has discussed a lot around the presence of girls in the game, asking the question of a 100% female or mixed game mode.

NBA 2K21 release date

NBA 2K21, the new installment in the NBA 2K franchise, will be released on September 4 for current-gen consoles (Xbox One, Switch and PS4) as well as PC while the game is announced in fall 2020 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

NBA 2K21 should therefore allow fans to play a girl in MyPlayer mode and thus evolve within the WNBA. Find all the information about the new Sony console on this site.
