Among the 13 magical creatures to find to complete your collection in Hogwarts Legacy, the Mooncalf is unique. It unlocks after completing the main quest The efle, the catch bag and the loom and can be found in different places. Whichever you choose, one of these creatures should be waiting for you. Once in its lair, all you have to do is capture it to add it to your collection and be able to take care of it later.
Where are the dens of the Mooncalf?
The Mooncalf can be found in 4 different locations in Hogwarts Legacy. These lairs are visible on the map if you have already passed nearby, but are quite far from the castle. To capture it more easily, don't hesitate to use Arresto Momentum to force the creature to stop while you recover it with the capture bag.
As with all other creatures, once captured, the Mooncalf can be brought back to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement. By taking care of him, he will allow you to recover magic components to use at the loom in order to improve your equipment and add attributes to it.
