True to its content cycle, Legends of Runeterra is already presenting its next expansion, call of the mountain. With this time a little novelty, since it will be a set composed of three additional expansions to be published. The first is Call of the Mountain, and the next two are scheduled for October and December. This set will also introduce the new Targon region. All available from 26 August.
One set and three expansions
To introduce the new content cycle of LoR, it is necessary to linger a little on a few terms.
- A extension means all maps, champions, cosmetics and game modes implemented by a major patch (approximately every two months). Each expansion has a unique name and the next one will be called Call of the Mountain.
- Un together is a group of cards with thematic and mechanical consistency that releases on one or more expansions. The set shares its name with the first of these expansions. For example, cards released in August, October, and December will all be part of the Call of the Mountain set.
- Finally, a news season Ranked begins with each expansion release and is named after that expansion (in this case, it will be the Call of the Mountain ranked season).
From now on, Legends of Runeterra will introduce new cards every two months. That is to say at the exit of each extension. The first expansion of each set will be more extensive, with many cards, champions and mechanics. Then the following two lighter extensions will remain in the theme of the set to complete the set.
New cards for Call of the Mountain
The presentation of the cards for this new expansion will begin on August 11. They will be revealed little by little for two weeks, until its release.
